Nowadays, it seems that there are literary millions of online radios, not to mention open source TV stations that provide content one click away. Fortunately, there are some applications that come with specific content for specific needs.
One of them is Advir Player. It helps you listen to religious radio stations, without having to use a web browser. But it does need some more work.
Small and simple graphical interface
The application sports a truly lightweight graphical interface, but it doesn't come with any customization tools. However, you can pick from multiple display sizes, including normal, extended, full screen or radio.
The program's window is pinned on top of other applications so you would have easy-access to controls. Unfortunately, all sections are in Portuguese, but playback controls are in English. It doesn't come with a feature to change the language of the application.
Listen to multiple religious stations
You can pick one of the many radio and online TV streaming stations, simply check the list and pick the one that you would like to listen to. Most of them work, while some simply won't stream content probably because the links are broken.
It would have been nice if it allowed you to bookmark the stations that you like most or at least add new ones. It has quick links to stations, you can open their websites in your Internet browser.
Some more tools
It comes with all the basic playback tools, like play, stop and volume controls. It displays the time that you've spent while listening to a certain station and you can access the application from system tray as well.
All stations provide religious content in multiple languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, English, German and many more.
All in all, Advir Player is a useful software solution for listening to a variety of religious radio and TV stations, but it definitely needs some more work and the option to add stations of your own.
