X-Lightscreen’s only real issue is the fact that it doesn’t offer a way to
control the desktop in order to take a screenshot. I have to manually go
to the edge of the desktop, then take the screenshot.
It’s OK, but it could be better. Why would you want to take a screenshot of
something other than the desktop? The program has a few glitches, like the
cursor isn’t completely in the screenshot, or it’s blurry. One good feature,
is the automatic printing of the screenshot when you go to print screen.
X-Lightscreen is one of the better free screen capture programs out there.
It has the most basic features. There are free alternatives. This one offers
the most basic features. The free programs provide fewer features. For a
small fee, you can get a program that has more features.
What I really like about X-Lightscreen is the ability to capture screen
windows in a program. I also like the ability to capture a window without
having to screenshot the whole desktop. Other apps I have tried allow me to
capture the window, but they don’t provide the ability to make the window
the active window.
X-Lightscreen is the most basic of all of the screen capture programs I have
used. It’s free, but it does the basics. If you only need the basics,
this program is for you.
X-Lightscreen may be free, but it isn’t 100% free. When I download the
software, the software downloads a rather large chunk of software to go
along with it.
If you don’t mind that extra step, you should definitely check out
the X-Lightscreen.
