Released under an open-source license, this lightweight application makes it possible to predefine scheduled user sessions of 45 minutes. Optionally, you can change the session duration from the Settings window but administrative privileges are required to do so.
Once installed on the computer, it deploys its service, which automatically starts a scheduled logout task for the current user and sends the AutoLock application to the system tray area.
AutoLock lets the user know how much time is left using toast notifications. Moreover, it displays a 5-minute warning and a 10-second countdown to allow the users to save their work. The toast notification popup window displays two options, namely one to logout the current user and the other to dismiss the notification.
Automatic service and application restart
AutoLock is configured to automatically restart its system tray application and its service (at the next logon) in case any of them get shut down. Therefore, it can be used on public access computers without worrying that it will be inefficient. Furthermore, if the service is running, the application cannot be closed without administrative privileges.
Schedule automatic log out of the current user 
AutoLock allows an allotted time before logging out the user. It features automatic service and application restart to avoid unauthorized termination. In conclusion, it is a nifty tool that can be used on publicly shared computers to schedule time-limited user sessions.
