FarHexitor is a FAR Manager plugin, not a Far plugin. It must be placed inside the.Far\Plugins directory, not in the Far plugins directory.

HEX editing is not possible from the standard menus, only from a context menu.
How to use:

Start FarHexitor. A window like the one below will open. In this window the file may be edited. You will see a file window on the top and a hex editor on the bottom.
Click the context menu item Edit in hex editor. A hex editor will open on the bottom and the file will be edited.
Please note that it is not possible to “Zoom to bottom” in this hex editor. You can zoom to the bottom by increasing the top file window.

I’m having trouble figuring out how to read/write the files using subprocess.Popen.
The.readfile method is returning the entire textfile, instead of only the first 5 lines.
