I’m using Windows, and it’s mac compatible! -Hugs- Nikki D.[[October 6, 2017]] By Joe Wright [[editors’ picks ]] The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s planned closure of a farm owned by a member of Trump’s family during the president’s trade war with China will not harm dairy farmers, the White House said. White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told the Washington Post on Thursday the USDA’s planned closure, part of a lawsuit, will not harm the dairy market. She said it is about individual parties and not the industry. “The Trump administration is not targeting any one company or any one person,” Walters told the Post. “They are not closing a farm and they are not targeting an industry. They are simply trying to hold a company accountable that they believe engaged in unfair trade practices.” The U.S. sued Chinese companies Shenzhen Tenglong Electronics Technology Co. and Micron Technology Inc. in July, accusing them of selling infringing products to U.S. consumers. The USDA said Wednesday that it planned to close the farm in Webster, North Carolina. The agency did not identify the owners of the farm. On Thursday, the USDA announced that it has agreed to postpone the closure until a court can rule on its request for a temporary restraining order. The lawsuit alleges Chinese companies have flooded U.S. markets with counterfeit chips and phones, harming American farmers and other businesses. It requested a preliminary injunction against the Chinese companies and an injunction against the U.S. to block transfers of funds for the defendants’ activities. The USDA’s decision to close the farm will be a huge loss for the area. County elections director Vicki Branch told the Post that businesses in the area depend on the farm, which employs 50 people and has a $1.6 million annual revenue. The U.S. has fined the Chinese companies nearly $300 million.Share this post: Linkedin Pinterest Tumblr Reddit Email Print The Spark of Justice is not going to stand around and wait for an end to the world. c6a93da74d
